Auntie Carolyn Fujishima drew a sketch of her remembrance of what Wailupe Fishpond once looked like in the 1930’s.

It consisted of 3 mākāhā (sluice gate which controlled the flow of water) and smaller pond within the larger fishpond. 

In the smaller pond Auntie Carolyn remembers her family cared for a sea turtle.  (see pic below)
